RO reject with high TDS, is then taken to evaporator for further reduction & then taken to a dryer for converting it into solid waste containing moisture below 10% level. This solid waste being baggable is then taken to a solid waste disposal site. A Great Variety of Evaporators exists to match the application.

A detailed study is required on the properties of the liquor to be evaporated such as Viscosity, Heat Sensitivity, Foaming Tendency, Corrosive Properties and Crystallizing Tendency etc.

A coalescer is a technological device performing coalescence. They are primarily used to separate emulsions into their components via various processes, operating in reverse to an emulsifier.

There are two types of coalescers. Mechanical coalescers use filters or baffles to make droplets coalesce while electrostatic coalescers use DC or AC electric fields (or combinations).Ou Range mainly have mechanical coalescer.

1. Droplet Coalescence and Separation

Dispersed micrometer-order droplets, which are too small for simple gravity-driven stratification, are captured by the ultrafine fibers in the this coalescer element and coalesce with other captured droplets as they move along the fibers, to from millimeter-size drops which readily undergo gravity-driven stratification immediatelyupon their emergency from the coalescer.

2. Coalescer System Configuration

One Stage Separation

The oil-in water or water-in-oil dispersion is fed under pressure to the coalescer bore; fine droplets merge in the coalescer element, forming drops that collect in a single layer immediately upon emergence from the coalescer. The oil and water layers leave the vessel via separate outlets. The coalescer also separates solid particle from the feed liquid, by rejection or entrapment in the
coalescer element.
